Deadline for Filing Exemption and Credit Applications Extended

Due to the circumstances relating to the evolving Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the City of Rochester’s Assessing Department has extended the deadline for applying and/or reapplying for the Elderly, Disabled and Blind property tax exemptions, all City adopted Veteran’s property tax credits and all new RSA 75:11 (Residential in a Commercial/Industrial Zone) applications.

The deadline has been extended from April 15, 2020 to June 15, 2020.

In addition, the City will postpone acquiring necessary application signatures and appointments; effective immediately, the Assessing Department will temporarily suspend the requirement for all applicants to visit our office.

As always, applicants are welcome to mail copies of required documentation to the Assessing Department at 19 Wakefield Street, Rochester, NH 03867; more information can be found on the following Assessing Department webpages.
