The James W. Foley Memorial Community Center (formerly Rochester Community Center) is home to a variety of city departments and community-based organizations. Check the "Quick Links" section for links to those respective entities.
Building tenants and special event organizers are encouraged to submit news releases and event listings to the Public Information Manager.
Community Engagement Hours
- Community Coffee is a 1hr event held every first Thursday at 9:30am in the Community Room, on the 1st floor of the Community Center. The purpose of the event is to encourage businesses, organizations, and volunteer groups to come together, introduce themselves, and share updates regarding various efforts occurring around the city. Free coffee is available, courtesy of the Rochester Recreation Department.
- City Chat is a chance for residents, business owners, and volunteer groups to meet informally and chat with the Public Information & Community Engagement Manager for the City of Rochester. Meetings take place in Suite 135 of the Community Center (Rochester Museum of Fine Arts) every first Thursday from 10:45-12pm. The public is encouraged to attend. No RSVP is required.
The Community Room (960-person maximum capacity) can be reserved for events hosted by Rochester-based community/volunteer groups and nonprofit organizations only. Click here to print the facility request form. Click here to see a photo of the meeting space.
