When Can I apply for an exemption?

No sooner than January each year and no later than April 15th

How long do you have to be a resident of New Hampshire to be eligible for an exemption?

Elderly Exemption- requires that the applicant has resided in New Hampshire for at least 3 consecutive years preceding April 1st in the year in which the exemption is claimed.

Diabled Exemption- requires the applicant has been a New Hampshire resident for at least 5 years.

Blind - Be the owner as of April 1, no previous residency required.

Can a person have an exemption in Rochester and in another community?

No, the exemption must be on the person's legal residence.
