ROCHESTER CITY COUNCIL

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECT

TUESDAY, JULY 20, 2021, 6:30 P.M.

CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS

The Rochester City Council will hold a Public Hearing on July 20, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the Rochester City Hall Council Chambers, 31 Wakefield St., Rochester, NH 03867.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are available to municipalities through the NH Community Development Finance Authority. Up to $500,000 is available for housing projects under the CDBG-CV allocation due to COVID-19. All projects must directly benefit a majority of low- and moderate-income persons. The Public Hearing will comment on the following:

A proposed application to the Community Development Finance Authority for up to $500,000 in CDBG-CV Public Facilities Grant. The funds will allow Community Action Partners of Strafford County to renovate a building at 90 Wakefield Street, Rochester, NH 03867 that was previously used as a senior assisted living as 21 residential apartments for income-verified residents aged 62 and older. Elderly individuals are presumed to be low and moderate income for the purpose of Community Development Block Grant limited clientele eligibility.

Adoption of a project-specific Residential Anti-Displacement and Relocation Plan, applying the terms of the City’s existing Residential Anti-Displacement and Relocation Plan to this project.
