Notice of Public Comment Regarding CDBG 2015-2020 Draft Consolidated Action Plan and 2015-2016 Draft Annual Action Plan

30-Day Comment Period Starting March 27, 2015

NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT
REGARDING CDBG 2015-2020 Draft Consolidated Action Plan

In accordance with Federal Regulations governing the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, public input will be solicited for 30 days, beginning on March 27, 2015, to comment on the proposed CDBG Five Year Consolidated Action Plan.  The CDBG Annual Action Plan identifies how the City plans to use the federal money during the next five year to meet the community development goals and objectives that will be approved by the City Council. 
Draft FY 2015-2020 Consolidated Action Plan Summary: Based on an estimated total grant amount of $1,021,779, the following activities are proposed for use of CDBG funds for FY 2015-2020: Administration and Planning-$204,356; Public Services- $153,267; Projects including Housing, Economic Development and Facilities/Infrastructure- $664,156. It is estimated that 100% of funding will serve low to moderate income residents.

Public Comment Period

The Consolidated Action Plan will be available for a 30-day public review and comment period beginning March 27, 2015, at which time all comments will be forwarded to the U.S. Department of HUD. The Draft Consolidated Action Plan can be viewed by visiting the City of Rochester’s Community Development Division website at http://www.rochesternh.net/community-development-division or by visiting in-person at the Office of Economic & Community Development, 150 Wakefield St., Rochester, NH 03867.

A PUBLIC HEARING will be held on April 21st, 2015 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. Citizens are invited to attend these hearings to comment on the proposed Consolidated Action Plan.
