FY 2022 Community Development Block Grant Application

The City of Rochester’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is requesting grant applications for FY 2022 (July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022) funding consideration. The program aims to assist low- and moderate-income residents of the City of Rochester through funding public services, economic development initiatives, low-income housing rehabilitation, and public facilities projects. The CDBG program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. There is a 15% cap on the public services category of funding.

CARES Act Community Development Block Grant Application

The City of Rochester's CDBG program has received a Round 3 allocation of funds through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act in the amount of $146,576. These funds are to be expended on activities are programs that prevent, prepare for, or respond to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Activities also must assist primarily low- and moderate-income residents of the City of Rochester. If a grant is awarded, the funds will be available during FY 2021 (July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022) as soon as HUD approval has been received.
