CDBG Grant Applications for FY 2021 Now Available

Applications Due by December 13th

The City of Rochester’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is requesting grant applications for FY 2021 (July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021) funding consideration. The CDBG program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The program aims to assist low- and moderate-income residents of the City of Rochester through funding public services, economic development initiatives, low-income housing rehabilitation, and public facilities projects. As part of the program, the City of Rochester distributes subgrants to non-profits and other organizations that perform work related to the City’s CDBG goals.

Tentative priorities identified for the FY 2021 CDBG program year include Housing First and rapid rehousing for chronically homeless residents and homeless veterans, emergency homeless shelter services, affordable housing initiatives, supportive services for residents with mental health and substance use disorders, teen center or other youth recreation projects, and downtown revitalization projects.
