CDBG Grant Applications for FY 2019-2020 Now Available

The City of Rochester’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is requesting grant applications for FY 2019-2020 funding consideration. The CDBG program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The program aims to assist low- and moderate-income residents of the City of Rochester through funding public services, economic development initiatives, low-income housing rehabilitation, and public facilities projects. As part of the program, the City of Rochester distributes subgrants to non-profits and other organizations that perform work related to the City’s CDBG goals.

Tentative priorities identified for the FY 2019-2020 CDBG program year include Housing First and rapid rehousing for chronically homeless persons and homeless veterans, affordable housing initiatives, substance abuse treatment and recovery services, and downtown revitalization projects. This application is due by Thursday, December 13, 2018 by 3:00 p.m. Letters of intent to submit are due by Wednesday, October 24, 2018 by 3:00 p.m. Please read the full instructions on the grant application carefully before completing and submitting.
