FIREWORKS ORDINANCE NOTICE

Fireworks displays are an important part of our summer celebrations and need to be done with caution so that everyone is safe.  Our City Fireworks Ordinance was developed so that people can enjoy themselves while keeping everyone safe.  The full ordinance can be found here but the highlights are:

You need a permit!

·         $5 Fee and (usually must be obtained 15 days in advance of the display)

Due to City Fireworks being canceled this year, permit applications are still being accepted!

·         Obtained from the City Manager’s Office, 31 Wakefield St. (603) 332-1167

·         Only allowed:

·         July 3rd, 6pm-Midnight

·         July 4th, 6pm-11pm

·         You may be required to have an inspection of the site

·         You must be 21 or older

·         Only allowed on private property with permission of the landowner

·         You must clean up all debris from the display and cannot allow debris to fall on your neighbor’s property

·         The fine for violations is $100
