City of Rochester announces filing period for 2023 Municipal Election

The Rochester City Clerk is pleased to announce that the Municipal Election is scheduled to take place on November 7, 2023. The Municipal Election offers opportunities for voters to elect representatives for the following positions:

  • Mayor
  • City Council
  • School Board
  • Police Commission
  • Election Officials

The filing period for candidates will open on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 9:00 am. All potential candidates are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and responsibilities associated with the positions before submitting their applications. The filing period will close on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 5:00 pm.

Attention candidates/voters: The Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session to accept any changes to the Official Checklist prior to the filing period on Thursday, September 7, between 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM and at the discretion of the supervisors for extended hours. RSA 654:32. The Supervisors Session shall be held at City Hall, 31 Wakefield Street, Rochester, NH 03867.
