New voters are encouraged to visit the City Clerk’s Office to register to vote. You can also register to vote at your polling location on the day of the election.

Absentee Ballots

Absentee Ballot Request Forms are available at the City Clerk’s Office and online. Absentee Ballots will be processed starting at 9am on Election Day.

Frequently asked question: What’s an Absentee Ballot? An absentee ballot is a vote cast by someone who is unable to attend the official polling station to which the voter is normally allocated. Absentee Ballots can be dropped off or mailed to the City Clerks Office.

When to Vote

In accordance with RSA 659:4, and Section 47 of the City Charter – All polling places will be open from 8am to 7pm on Election Day.
