Parking Ban Exemption Information

The City of Rochester follows an “as-needed” winter parking ban policy.  If a parking ban is needed for snow plowing or snow cleanup, a citywide parking ban or a downtown winter parking ban will be declared.  Notifications for parking bans are posted to the City of Rochester’s webpage, e notifications if you are registered to receive them and the local television and radio stations also announce this information.    If you need to apply for a parking exemption, please apply at the police station or call them at 603-330-7127.  Any unauthorized vehicle parking on a city street during a parking ban will be towed at the owner’s expense.
