Filing Period for the November 2, 2021 Municipal Election.

For the office of Mayor, City Council, School Board, Police Commission, and Election Officials

When: Friday, September 3, 2021, at 9:00 AM until Monday, September 20th at 5:00 PM

Where: At the City Clerk Office, 31 Wakefield Street, City Hall, Rochester New Hampshire

What are Election Officials and what do they do?

Each Ward has a team of Election Officials that set up and manage the polling place on Election Day.

The main positions - Selectmen, Ward Clerk, Moderator, and Supervisor of the Checklist – are elected positions that Rochester residents can run for.

Selectman - Work at the check-in table, keep the voting booth free of material, supervise the ballot box, and are also available for voter assistance.

Supervisor of the Checklist - Processes new voter registration, and changes in name, address, party affiliation, and reports information Election Night.

Moderator - Tests ballot machines, addresses voter concerns, works with Ward Clerk to ensure accurate results, and oversees the election for each Ward.

Ward Clerk - Handles administrative tasks, reports results from their ward, and calculates how many ballots were used and cast.
