Rochester Government Channel
Camera System Operator
The City of Rochester is seeking qualified persons to serve as volunteer camera system operators for the Rochester Government Channel. The camera system operator is responsible for airing live public meetings, including: assisting with presentation preparation, positioning robotic cameras, monitoring audio during meetings and ensuring overall quality of outgoing signal.
Some experience in video production or related field preferred but not necessary. General knowledge of audio and video technology helpful. Initial commitment would involve training for 2 to 4 hours a week for several weeks, and long-term commitment would be 3 to 4 hours a month. Depending on individual’s availability, there is opportunity for training and involvement in other Government Channel video productions.
