When do I have to Register My Dog?
In the State of New Hampshire dog registrations are from April 30 of one year to April 30 of the next. The City Clerks Office will begin re-registration of dogs on March 22nd for the year 2010. Your dog should always be registered.
New dogs and puppies have to be registered two weeks from their rabies shots. Veterinarians are required by law to inform the Clerks Office of all rabies shots given.
Re-Register Your Dog Online
If you cannot make it into the office or want the convenience of registering your dog online, click on the link below and follow the directions and you can register your dog or dogs online. There is a vendor service fee of $1.00 per dog and a City service fee of $1.00 per transaction.
After the City receives notice of your registration, your license and tags will be mailed to you. If you do not receive your license and tags within 5 business days of your transaction, please contact the City Clerks Office at 603-332-2130
Is Your Dog no Longer With You?
If you have given your dog away or it has passed away, please inform the Clerks Office. You can do so, by calling 603-332-2130 or click here to inform us via email. Informing us, prevents you from receiving notifications and saves the City money.
Have you Moved out of Rochester?
If you have moved out of the City, please inform the Clerks Office. You can do so, by calling 603-332-2130 or click here to inform us via email. Informing us, prevents you from receiving notifications and saves the City money.
Licensing a New Dog
