Minutes of the February 22, 2006 Special Meeting
Members Present:
Rose Marie Rogers, Chair
Jack Hackett, Alternate voting for Meredeth Lineweber who was absent.
Jeff Winders
Paul Marshall
Fred Glidden
Sandy Bretton
Mark Toussaint
Staff: Cecile Cormier, Staff Planner
The Chair convened the Special Meeting at 6:35 PM.
The Chair reviewed the three proposals to choose the Land Surveyor to conduct a conservation easement survey of the Holley/Jenness Farm off Pickering Road as follows:
1. Ames MSC Architects & Engineers - $21,712.00
2. Norway Plains Associates, Inc. - $25,000.00
3. McEneaney Survey Associates, Inc. - $17,000.00
The members discussed the merits of each proposal. Ms. Cormier explained to them that McEneaney Survey Assoc., Inc. cost was much lower because they have surveyed some of the boundaries already as part of other projects.
Mr. Glidden moved to accept the proposal of McEneaney Survey Assoc. Inc., in the amount of Seventeen Thousand dollars ($17,000.00) to conduct a conservation easement boundary survey of the Holley/Jenness Farm, located in Rochester (shown as Lot 7 on Map 265) and in Dover (shown as Lot A-27 on Map A-1), NH. This motion acknowledges that this proposal is much lower that the other two submitted. This is due to the fact that McEneaney Survey Assoc. Inc. has already surveyed several boundaries of the Holley/Jenness Farm as part of other projects and will not need to redo this work. Mr.
Toussaint seconded the motion. A unanimous voice vote approved the motion.
Mr. Toussaint moved to expend Seventeen Thousand dollars ($17,000.00) from the Conservation Fund to pay McEneaney Survey Assoc., Inc. to conduct the conservation easement boundary survey of the Holley/Jenness Farm; seconded by Mr. Marshall. A unanimous voice vote approved the motion.
The meeting adjourned at 6:47 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Cecile M. Cormier, Staff Planner
